Top Ten Books I Hope Santa Brings

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly book meme hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl. Each week, she posts an idea relating to books and encourages other book bloggers to respond with their own top ten lists.

This week’s topic is “top ten books I hope Santa brings.” Even though I’m currently running out of bookshelf space, my Christmas wishlist is full of books. Here are just ten of the ones I want:

Books I’ve Read & Need to Own

The Diviners by Libba Bray
One of my favourite series. I’ve been wanting to reread it for ages, and that would be made much easier by owning a copy. (Especially if it was the nicer, original cover!)

Anna and the French Kiss (Collector’s Edition) by Stephanie Perkins
Anna and the French Kiss is one of my go-to comfort reads, and this edition is absolutely beautiful.

Little Women by Louisa May Alcott
While I would love to own the entire Puffin in Bloom collection, I especially want Little Women. I watched the most recent film adaptation in February and loved it (even if it made me cry), so I’m excited to finally dive into this classic novel.

His Dark Materials Collection by Philip Pullman
This edition is absolutely gorgeous! One I definitely want to prominently display, once I’ve assembled more bookshelves.

Get a Life, Chloe Brown by Talia Hibbert
I loved this so much when I first read it, and I can see the entire Brown Sisters series being one that I come back to again and again.

On My TBR

The Burning God by R.F. Kuang
I just finished The Dragon Republic and The Drowning Faith, and I need to know how the story ends — even if I’m sure it will emotionally destroy me in the process.

A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder by Holly Jackson
This has been all over Bookstagram. I haven’t read a proper YA crime/thriller in ages, and the Serial comparisons make me feel like this will be one of the good (and twisty!) ones.

Every Heart a Doorway by Seanan McGuire
My best friend read this over the summer and has been practically begging me to read it ever since.

These Violent Delights by Chloe Gong
I’ve seen so many rave reviews for this! A dark Romeo + Juliet retelling set in 1920s Shanghai sounds like an amazing read.

Witches Steeped in Gold by Ciannon Smart
A Jamaican-inspired fantasy about enemy witches seeking vengeance is, honestly, the perfect premise. It doesn’t come out until April 2021, but Santa is magical so I’m sure he can find a way to sneak it under my tree!

What books are on your Christmas wishlist?
