Top Ten Books On My Fall TBR

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly book meme hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl. Each week, she posts an idea relating to books and encourages other book bloggers to respond with their own top ten lists.

This week’s topic is “top ten books on my fall TBR.” I’m bad at sticking to a defined TBR or reading list since I’m very much a mood reader, but here are 10 of the books I’m hoping to read this fall.

The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue by V.E. Schwab
This is easily my most-anticipated book of the year, and it is going to be a very exciting day when my pre-order arrives.

A Deadly Education by Naomi Novik
I loved Uprooted and boarding school books, so this sounds like the perfect read. The “dark feminist Harry Potter” description just makes it sound even better.

Star Daughter by Shveta Thakrar
That cover is to die for and it’s been described as Neil Gaiman’s Stardust with Hindu mythology. I need this in my life.

Piranesi by Susanna Clarke
Jonathan Strange & Mr. Norrell was one of the strangest books I’ve ever read, and I couldn’t put it down. I can’t wait to see what this next book is like, especially since it’s been compared to Circe and The Ocean at the End of the Lane.

Serpent & Dove by Shelby Mahurin
Almost everyone I know has read and adored this. Now that Blood & Honey is out, I’m experiencing major FOMO so I need to read this soon.

The Shadowglass by Rin Chupeco
I read The Bone Witch and The Heart Forger a few years ago and I was really excited to see where the story went next. I’m sure I’ll need to re-read the series before starting this one, but it seems like the perfect Halloween read.

Fable by Adrienne Young
When pirate books are done well, I can’t get enough of them. I’ve seen so many glowing reviews for this already, so I’m really excited to read it!

Burn Our Bodies Down by Rory Power
I haven’t read a thriller in ages but it seems like the perfect, atmospheric, autumnal read — especially with that cover!

Something Happened to Ali Greenleaf by Hayley Krischer
I have an ARC of this that I need to read this month for a blog tour, so this will definitely be finished by the end of September! It sounds like a heavy yet important read, and one that I’m sure will stay with me for some time.

A Golden Fury by Samantha Cohoe
The extent of my knowledge of the Philosopher’s Stone comes from Harry Potter, so I can’t wait to see how its creation plays out in 18th century France.

What’s on your fall TBR? Have you read any of the books on my list?
