Top Ten Books That Made Me Smile

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly book meme hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl. Each week, she posts an idea relating to books and encourages other book bloggers to respond with their own top ten lists.

This week’s topic is “Top Ten Books That Made Me Smile.” These are by no means the books that made me smile the most, but instead are ten of the ones where I vividly remember enjoying the reading experience.

Furthermore by Tahereh Mafi
This was such a fun middle-grade title, and I quickly fell in love with it (and the origami fox).

Anna and the French Kiss by Stephanie Perkins
This was so fluffy, Étienne was a delight, and it reflected my dating situation when I first read it. (Subsequent re-reads were also heartwarming).

Get A Life, Chloe Brown by Talia Hibbert
The banter!! Every single interaction between Chloe and Red made me smile.

Tweet Cute by Emma Lord
I loved all of the banter, all of the social media references, and the copious amounts of good-sounding food.

Red, White & Royal Blue by Casey McQuiston
Sweet and fluffy. I loved all of the banter-filled emails, and heavily enjoyed Alex’s sense of humour.

The Hating Game by Sally Thorne
Who knew a simple handholding scene could be so sweet? Also, the banter.

China Rich Girlfriend by Kevin Kwan
This was so over-the-top and entertaining, and I can’t wait for the movie adaptation.

The Raven Boys by Maggie Stiefvater
Blue and her boys never cease to warm my heart (and also occasionally make me sob).

The Starless Sea by Erin Morgenstern
I had the biggest smile on my face when I got the call that my pre-order of this was in, and my smile grew even more once I started reading it.

The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern
I can never put my love for this book into words, but every single re-read has been a magic-filled delight.

Which books made you happy recently?
