Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly book meme hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl. Each week, she posts an idea relating to books and encourages other book bloggers to respond with their own top ten lists.
This weekโs topic is “top ten books on my TBR I predict will be 5-star reads.” I don’t give out 5 star ratings as much as I used to, but here are some upcoming reads that I’m sure I’m going to love.
The King of Crows by Libba Bray
The Diviners is one of my favourite series and I still can’t believe that the final book is out today! The last two books in this series were 5-star reads, so I can’t wait to start reading this one.
Call Down the Hawk by Maggie Stiefvater
Every single book in The Raven Cycle was a 5-star read for me, even after re-reading them multiple times. I’ve been putting off reading this for months so that I could tackle my backlog of books that I own, but I think it’s about time I finally give it a read.
Where Dreams Descend by Janella Angeles
I went to see The Phantom of the Opera a couple of weeks ago as an early birthday present, and it fully revived my obsession with the musical. That, couple with duelling magicians, sounds like the perfect Erin book.
The Near Witch by Victoria Schwab
I picked up paperback copy of this when I was in Indigo the other day, and I can’t wait to start reading. I’ve loved absolutely everything else that Schwab has written, so I’m sure I’ll love this one, too.
Red, White & Royal Blue by Casey McQuiston
I love royals and the enemies-to-lovers trope, so this sounds like such a delightful read. Almost everyone I know has given it 5 stars, so I feel like I’ll enjoy it just as much.
Circe by Madeline Miller
I feel like I’m one of the only people that hasn’t read this one yet. Almost all of my Goodreads friends have given it 5 stars, so I’m cautiously optimistic that I will also enjoy this.
Finnikin of the Rock by Melina Marchetta
I’ve heard that this is such a beautifully-written, emotional read, and it has been on my to-read list for ages.
Courting Darkness by Robin LeFevers
His Fair Assassin is one of my favourite fantasy series, and Sybella was one of my favourite characters. So, naturally, this should be an excellent read.
In the Dream House by Carmen Maria Machado
This sounds like a heavy but important read, and one that I’m sure will stick with me long after finishing.
Sadie by Courtney Summers
There was so much hype surrounding this book upon its release, and given that I watch a lot of true crime series (even if they often creep me out), I’m sure that this will end up as a 5-star read.
The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue by V.E. Schwab
This still has no cover, but I couldn’t leave it off of this list. A girl who falls in love with the devil is very much the type of book that I love to read. I will read anything that Schwab writes, and I know that she’ll meet my (high) expectations.
Which books on your TBR do you expect will be 5-star reads? Have you read any of the ones on my list? Let me know in the comments below.
I really enjoyed Circe & Sadie! I hope these are great reads for you!

I’ve heard so many excellent things about it! I just picked it up from the library, so fingers crossed that it’s as good as expected.
Aagh, Red, White and Royal Blue was SUCH a five-star read for me! I hope you enjoy it, too… it’s such a sweet and, honestly, hopeful story. I still have to get around to Circe and Call Down the Hawk, as well… and YES to King of Crows! Considering running out today to buy it.
I’m so glad to hear that you loved it! I just got my hold in for The King of Crows, and I can’t wait to start reading it — I hope you enjoy it, too, when you pick it up!
Call Down the Hawk was good! I hope it’s a 5 star read for you.

I have high hopes for Sadie also. I plan to listen to the audiobook after hearing recommendations from so many that it’s best that way. I hope you enjoy it!

I hadn’t thought about picking up the audiobook, but I might just have to do that now — thanks, Kristi!
I’ve only read one of these and I didn’t love it, but that doesn’t mean you won’t! In fact, I hope you love all your picks.
Happy TTT!

I’m so excited to start it! I might just have to re-read the series first, just so that I don’t have to say goodbye to the characters quite yet ๐
I really liked Red, White and Royal blue, hope you will too!
