I can’t believe it’s August already! This summer just flew by, but thankfully there’s still a bit of time to curl up on the beach with one of these new releases. As always, if you’re interested in one of the books, click on its cover image to be taken to its Goodreads page.

  • I read Mortal Danger already, and I did not like it at all. The main character really got under my skin and annoyed me so it was more like a chore to read it.

I’m looking forward to Isla, even though I still have to read Lola. I’m also waiting for A Little Something Different. I have an eARC of Six Feet Over It. I should probably read that soon.

    • Aw, it’s too bad you didn’t enjoy it! I always find it so difficult to read books with unlikeable MCs – especially if it’s first person POV.

I really enjoyed Lola. It had a similar feel to Anna, but the characters were so much more quirky and it felt a bit more realistic. You’ll have to let me know what you think of Six Feet Over It!

  • Oh my goodness, I had no idea that some of my most anticipated books this year were out in August. I’ve been lusting after Between the Spark and the Burn ever since devouring the first in the series. It was such a gorgeously gothic book, gah I can’t wait another 10 days! Don’t get me started on how long i’ve been waiting for the next Pittacus Lore book either… *sigh* my poor poor TBR list.

    • I’m SO excited for Between the Spark and the Burn! I hope it’s as wonderfully creepy as Between the Devil and the Deep Blue Sea.

I stopped reading the Lorien Legacies series after about book 3, but your excitement makes me feel like I need to catch up with it. Happy reading – I hope the August releases are as great as you’re anticipating them to be! 🙂
