Top 10 Books on My Fall TBR

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly book meme hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl. Each week, she posts an idea relating to books and encourages other book bloggers to respond with their own top ten lists.

This week’s topic is “top ten books on my fall 2021 to-read list.” My TBR is massive so it was hard to narrow this down, but here are 10 of the ones that I’m most excited about:

New Releases

Beautiful World, Where Are You by Sally Rooney
I picked up my copy of this the other day, and it is absolutely stunning (though I am still heartbroken that I didn’t get a tote bag or a bucket hat). I really enjoyed Conversations with Friends but couldn’t get into Normal People, so hopefully this is more like the former!

The Love Hypothesis by Ali Hazelwood
Fake dating + science + that cover!! As a former biologist, I am extremely here for a romance heroine in STEM.

The Ex Hex by Erin Sterling
This gives off such strong Hocus Pocus vibes: A witch discovers her silly bad breakup ritual might have actually worked when her ex-boyfriend returns to town years later and everything around them begins to go haywire.

ExtraOrdinary by V.E. Schwab
Vicious is one of my favourite books of all time, so I can’t wait to dive back into the world of EOs.

Ace of Spades by Faridah Àbíké-Íyímídé
Described as Get Out meets Gossip Girl, with twists that keep you guessing.

Backlist Titles

The Secret History by Donna Tartt
After falling deep down the BookTok rabbit hole, I ended up on Dark Academia Booktok and now I desperately need to pick this book up.

The Vanishing Stair by Maureen Johnson
I read Truly Devious a while ago and really enjoyed it. Now that all of the books are out and can’t leave me stuck on a cliffhanger for too long, I definitely plan to finish the series!

The Inheritance Games by Jennifer Lynn Barnes
I’ve heard this is like Knives Out, and twisty mysteries make for the perfect fall reads.

The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo by Taylor Jenkins Reid
I haven’t read any of Reid’s work before, but this seems like the perfect place to start! I’ve seen so many rave reviews, and the cover is stunning.

The House in the Cerulean Sea by T.J. Klune
Everyone I know who has read this has said that it is perfect and sweet, and made them sob endlessly. So, naturally, I need to read it.

What books are on your fall TBR? Have you read any of the ones on my list?
