Top Ten Books I Loved But Never Reviewed

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly book meme hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl. Each week, she posts an idea relating to books and encourages other book bloggers to respond with their own top ten lists.

This week’s topic is “top ten books I loved but never reviewed.” I haven’t been as consistent with reviewing as I’d have liked, so this list was embarrassingly easy to compile.

The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern
I first read The Night Circus before I started blogging, and I’ve since read it at least 10 times. It’s easily my favourite book, so there’s no way that I could objectively review it.

A Great and Terrible Beauty by Libba Bray
This was one of my favourite series when I first got into YA. I haven’t reread it since I started blogging, but if I do, I will definitely need to add a review.

The Raven Boys by Maggie Stiefvater
I reviewed both The Dream Thieves and Blue Lily, Lily Blue but the first book didn’t end up with one for some reason.

Grave Mercy by Robin LaFevers
I read this in 2015, and this is all that I wrote on Goodreads: “To say that I loved this is an understatement. Review to come.” Five years later, and I still haven’t written a complete review.

All the Stars and Teeth by Adalyn Grace
I was pleasantly surprised by this pirate fantasy, but I had a huge pile of library books to get through and never ended up sitting down to write a review.

Girl, Serpent, Thorn by Melissa Bashardoust
I just finished this one over the weekend, so I’m adding it to this list in hopes that it will motivate me to finish my review in a somewhat-timely fashion.

A Darker Shade of Magic by V.E. Schwab
I liked this series enough to push it on everyone I know, but I haven’t given it a written review yet. Maybe I’ll get around to it after my much-anticipated reread.

Neverwhere by Neil Gaiman
I bought this when I was in Paris in 2018 and read it on my flight home. I was so exhausted after my flight that I didn’t even think about writing a review.

The Bad Beginning by Lemony Snicket
I’ve been meaning to do a reread of this series for years now, since I loved it so much as a kid. It holds such a special place in my heart that I’m not sure I could give it a proper review.

The Young Elites by Marie Lu
I read this in 2014 for the first time, and then reread it shortly after. I intended to give it a review, but never got around to it, as seen by my Goodreads comments: “So deliciously dark! I’m going to have to read all the fluffy contemporaries to recover from that ending. Full review to come.”

I want to say that I’ll reread all of these and give them proper reviews… but, knowing my track record, that probably won’t happen.
