Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly book meme hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl. Each week, she posts an idea relating to books and encourages other book bloggers to respond with their own top ten lists.
This week’s topic is “Top Ten Book Events/Festivals I’d Love To Go To Someday.” To date, the only book event I’ve been to was a signing for The Starless Sea (which was wonderful!) and I still haven’t been to any bookish festivals. Here are some of the ones I’d love to attend:
Events
V.E. Schwab book tour
I would love to be able to attend one of V.E. Schwab’s future book tour dates, especially if there’s a signing component (my copy of Vicious could use a signature!).
HCC Frenzy Presents
I’ve been invited to a few Frenzy Presents events with the HarperCollins Canada team, but haven’t been able to attend yet. Hopefully I can make it to one once the world is a little more normal, especially since I’m now living in Toronto — it looks like a great way to preview upcoming titles!
TIFF ‘Loved It’ Events
I was so sad to have missed the Loved It: Jia Tolentino on Drop Dead Gorgeous event, since I adored Trick Mirror (and Jia’s other writing) and it would be such a fun screening. I’m definitely aiming to attend others like this in the future!
Station Eleven Screening
So this is definitely never going to happen, but I would love to attend a screening for the Station Eleven TV show when it’s finished filming.
Treasures of the British Library Exhibition
The description says it all: “From Magna Carta and Shakespeare to Ada Lovelace and The Beatles. Explore some of the world’s most exciting, beautiful and significant books, manuscripts and sound recordings.”
Festivals
Toronto International Festival of Authors
I’m trying to be more intentional about reading more Canadian books, and celebrating book launches for emerging Canadian authors sounds like the perfect way to do this.
Word on the Street Festival
This free magazine + book festival has been on my list for ages, and now that I live in Toronto, I’m hoping I can make it to at least one!
BookCon
I watched a few of the BookConline sessions in May, but I’d love to properly attend in-person — it seems like it would be so much fun, and a great way to meet other book bloggers!
Which bookish events or festivals would you like to attend?
I’d love to go to the Toronto event!
I live in Toronto, but I’ve never been to the Toronto International Festival of Authors. Someday that will have to change.

I’ve heard a lot of good things about it, so hopefully you’re able to go one year!

BookCon does sound like fun! What could be better than a giant meeting of book bloggers??
Happy TTT!

Right? It sounds like the perfect way to spend time!
I’ve never been to a book festival either, but they sound fun! Here is our Top Ten Tuesday.
I hope you’re able to go to one someday!

So many intriguing ones! I hope someday you get to attend them–and that they are every bit as memorable/magical as you’ve always hoped!
Thanks, Jessica! I’m definitely looking forward to it 🙂
