Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly book meme hosted by The Broke and the Bookish. Each week, she posts an idea relating to books and encourages other book bloggers to respond with their own top ten lists.
This weekโs topic is โtop ten books people have been telling you that you MUST read.” There are so many beloved books in the blogosphere, so I’ve come across countless hyped up and well-recommended titles.ย Here are just a few of them:
Which books have you been told that you simple NEED to read? Leave me a list or a link to your Top Ten Tuesday post in the comments below.
I’ve read most of these and I think if I had to choose ONE to recommend to you – it would be Tiger Lily! It was such an interesting story and I loved how it was told. But then again VA is one of my favorite series and it never gets old.
I’ve heard SO many good things about Tiger Lily, so I’ll definitely have to give it a try! I haven’t read a vampire book in ages, so Vampire Academy might be a nice change from all of the dystopian stories I’ve been reading. Thanks for the recommendations! ๐
I’ve had Tiger Lily on my Need To Read list for almost a year, now. I try to read everything I find that’s inspired by Peter Pan — one of my all-time favorite books — and I hear such good things about that one. The “blogosphere” is good for new recommendations, but it does make choosing what to read next so much harder. (I do recommend We Were Liars!! Try not to listen to all the hype and start reading without any preconceptions.)
I haven’t actually read Peter Pan yet… I loved the Disney movie though. :$ If you do end up reading it, I look forward to hearing your thoughts!
Before blogging, I just picked up whatever looked good, but now I know so much more about anticipated releases, so it’s definitely difficult to decide which book to read next.
I’ll definitely have to give We Were Liars a read! I think it’s been long enough since its release that I can go in without any preconceived notions. Thanks for the recommendation! ๐
My vote is for Under the Never Sky, but only if you read the entire trilogy. I liked the first book okay but the second was by far my favorite.
I love series that get progressively better, so I’ll definitely have to give it a try. Thanks!
I’ve only read Seraphina and We Were Liars from your list, and I highly recommend them both!
I think my local library has copies of both of them, so I’ll definitely have to give them a read! ๐
I still haven’t picked up my copy of the Legend trilogy despite all the covers looking so rad; which is why I’m so surprised that I don’t have it in my possession!
Cheers,
joey via. thoughts and afterthoughts
I’ve still only read the first book, which I picked up based solely on the cover. I thought it was good though, so I’d recommend giving it a read!
Cress, The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer and Vampire Academy is on my to-read list too!! I watched VA movie and liked it, and if the movie is good the book is alwaysss better so i just can’t wait to read it!! ๐ We were liars is being hyped about a lot. I am going to wait for your review on Goodreads and if they are good i’ll start it. xx
I still haven’t seen the Vampire Academy movie. I keep meaning to watch it, so hopefully that will be my motivation to start the series!
I just finished The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer the other day – it was a really addictive read and the sequel was even better! I’ll definitely make sure to let you know how I find the rest. ๐
