Friday Finds is a weekly event hosted by Should Be Reading, where you discuss books that you’ve discovered and added to your to-read list over the course of the week. These books don’t have to be ones that you’ve purchased – they can be books that you’ve borrowed, found online, heard about from a friend, etc.
As always, if you’re interested in learning more about one of these books, click on the picture and you’ll be taken to its Goodreads page.
The synopsis of this book makes me think a bit of Coraline, if it were set in Victorian England and had clockwork birds that grant wishes. And the cover is absolutely gorgeous!
In high school, we had a French assignment where we had to write letters to the dead and, like Laurel, I chose Kurt Cobain and Heath Ledger. I feel like this is a book that’s going to make me cry, but I’ll be more than okay with that.
I was a huge fan of Norah McClintock in middle school, so I just have to read her newest book! The alternating POVs look really neat: one is written like a screenplay and the other is written like a diary entry. I love a good mystery, especially one like this that doesn’t look like it’s too creepy.
I’m so excited about Unbreathable because it was written by a very lovely book blogger: Hafsah from Icey Books! It looks like a really neat sci-fi story, and I can’t wait to read it!
What book did you find this Friday? Leave me a list or a link to your post below.
